Today's Book of the Day is the simply lovely Firefly Hollow.
Written by
Alison McGhee and illustrated by Christopher Denise, this sweet story
of 4 little friends with big dreams is a joy and reminded me very much
of another favorite. Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH. A soon to be
classic, I am certain.

Book of the Day is Back!
We have been on a bit of a hiatus, mostly recovering from our busy summer programs!
Today's book of the day is Make
For Ducklings written and illustrated by Robert McCloskey and published
on this day in 1941. It won the Caldecott Medal in 1942 and is the
official children's book of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. A
classic!
